Would you like to have a special experience immersed in nature, amidst the colours and lightness of butterflies? A day dedicated to the wonder of metamorphosis is waiting for you at the Casa delle Farfalle in Milano Marittima: you will discover how the curious caterpillar gives birth to the silent chrysalis and, finally, the butterfly's first flutter of wings. It is not magic, it is nature transforming itself.

An event designed for young and old, with themed activities and experiential workshops to learn while having fun. During the day you will also be able to enjoy a delicious themed picnic in the Garden of Biodiversity, to experience moments of relaxation together amidst scents and colours.

The ticket includes admission to all areas of Casa delle Farfalle and the "pic-nic kit", with lunch box and a comfortable blanket to settle down on our lawn.

11 a.m. | First free flight
You can watch the spectacle of the first flight of the butterflies born during the early hours of the day.

From 12 noon | Distribution of picnic baskets:


Golden cocoon: mini stuffed sandwich
Farfalle in prato: pasta
Fairy triangles: sandwich
Shortbread wings: slice of cake
Choice of: water, beer, coke, fruit juice (peach, pineapple and pear), tea (peach and lemon).

12.30 p.m. | Pills of nature: six-legged secrets
What do butterflies eat? What about stick insects? How do you treat chrysalises? Find out with our experts

3 p.m. | Creative seed bomb workshop
A workshop to discover how a butterfly- and pollinator-friendly meadow is created, following nature's journey step by step: from seed to plant, from nectar to butterfly.

3.30 pm | Guided tour Secrets and wonders: biodiversity, a world to discover
Discover lots of interesting facts about insects, butterflies and the topic of biodiversity with our experts!

5 p.m. | Twilight Butterfly
You can watch the flight of twilight butterflies live and discover their secrets and habits.
